THE LINCOLN AND KENNEDY ASSASSINATIONS
Abraham Lincoln was elected to Congress in 1846.
John F. Kennedy was elected to Congress in 1946.
Abraham Lincoln was elected President in 1860.
John F. Kennedy was elected President in 1960.
The names Lincoln and Kennedy each contains 7 letters.
Both were particularly concerned with civil rights.
Both their wives lost children while living in White House.
Both Presidents were shot on Friday.
Both were shot from behind in the head.
Both were shot in the presence of their wives.
Lincoln had a secretary named "Kennedy" who warned him not to go the the theater.
Kennedy had a secretary named "Lincoln" who warned him not to go to Dallas.
Both were assassinated by Southerners.
Both were succeeded by Southerners.Both successors were named Johnson.
Andrew Johnson, who succeeded Lincoln was born in 1808.
Lyndon Johnson, who succeeded Kennedy was born in 1908.Both names contain 13 letters, an unlucky number.
Both left office under a cloud.Andrew was nearly impeachment by Congress.
Lyndon was impeached by public opinion due to his Vietnam War policy
And, undoubtedly, his guilty conscience.
John Wilkes Booth, who assassinated Lincoln, was born in 1839.
Lee Harvey Oswald, alleged to have assassinated Kennedy, was born in 1939.Both assassins were known by their three names.
Both names comprise 15 characters.
Booth ran from the theatre and was captured (killed) in a Warehouse (barn).
Oswald ran from the warehouse and was captured at a Theatre (and later killed).
Lincoln was shot in the Ford Theater.
Kennedy was shot in a Ford car, (A Lincoln, no less!).
To cap it off, Booth and Oswald were both assassinated before their trials.Booth did kill Lincoln, but may not have been killed as official history has recorded.
And Oswald, though definitely killed, may not have killed Kennedy.
To the superstitious, all of this makes one wonder whether or not "somebody" is trying to tell us something. If so, that something might be that we should re-examine both assassinations very carefully.
Webmaster disclaimer and note: I have not personally checked the accuracy of all of the alleged coincidences above. I have, however, added a couple of items. I added that Andrew Johnson was nearly impeached by Congress, and that LBJ was impeached by public opinion and his guilty conscience. The guilty conscience would be due to a combination of American deaths in Vietnam and (possibly), the assassination of JFK.
