Sea Witches

(And other Angelman/WILBO vessels)

FOR SALE

NOTICE: Sorry folks, the webmaster is lurching toward retirement. He may eventually be going back to sea (without a computer). The boats listed below will remain listed until the webmaster is notified that they have been sold or is asked remove them.

One of the best places to find boats seems to be:

When doing a search for Angelman boats, also try the spelling "Angelman" as "Angleman" in the builder or designer search text box as the key word. Also beware that the LOA on Sea Witches is sometimes given as up to about 48 feet, which includes bowsprit.

SEA MOON
Sea Moon
She may not be a Sea Witch, but she retains a lot of Sea Witch qualities. The Moonbeam was designed by Hugh Angelman as sort of an improved, more practical, Sea Witch. What the design may have lost in Sea Witch's traditional charm, she has gained in simplicity of rig and windward sailing abilities.

SEA MOON
OWNER'S COMMENTS & SPECS

Sea Moon hull Sea Moon Cockpit Sea Moon transom Sea Moon aft toward companionway Sea Moon settee Sea Moon cabin foreward

“Sea Moon” is a gorgeous boat, inside and out. She was originally commissioned to be built for Lana Turner by "Maas Brothers" yard in Breskens Holland and completed in 1960.
A quote form the last survey…” The vessel scantlings are substantial exceeding mostly those to be expected in a 45 footer. She is a stout little Angelman design capable of ocean passages and in extremely good condition…”.
A recent survey values her at $65k with a replacement value of $550k.
Strip planked mahogany and bronze fastened to double sawn white oak frames at 17" centers. She is 36' on deck (40'+ with sprit), 12'-2" beam 5'-6" draft. Powered by a Universal M-35 diesel (low hours) with 90 gal fuel, 125 gal water. There is also a pressurized water system with hot water heater, an inverter, DC refrigeration (compressor/raw water cooled), and a hand held (hot and cold) shower which is located in the cockpit (stored in the lazarette ).

Asking: $28,900.00

LOOKING FOR GRANDFATHER'S BOAT "HONEYWOOD" -- an Angelman Sea Spirit 31 built in 1965 in Yokohama, Japan by/for my grand father Woody Haskin, purchased through Hardin boats in Los Angeles
He sailed out of Marina del Rey until the mid 70s with the name "Honeywood." (She was) last seen in brazil in 2009 as "Ala di sabah."
I have exchanged emails with Dieter Langer who had her from 2000-2009 doing a circumnavigation ending in Bahia du Salvador in Brazil. He sold her there and the trail goes cold. The register of wooden boats lists previous names as "Sea Dutches", "Crossrufs", "Feelings", and "Ala di Sabah."
Any tips to help track her down would be wonderful, my wife is determined that we find her and bring her back to former glory if possible.
